I think that President Abraham Lincoln (February 12, 1909 – April 15, 1865) probably had more impact on the direction of this country than any President that preceded him and subsequently followed him. Even though it was not his objective to free the slaves, but he did. I think that every President along with Abraham Lincoln of this country because of slavery has been forced to formulate policy directly or indirectly about race. Almost every commodity in this country has been discounted because of race. Race is the variable that covers up the influence of the power elite in governing this country.
Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States from March 1861 to 1865. On November 5, 1860 Lincoln won the Presidency with 1,866,452 votes, Douglas 1,376,957 votes. The War began immediately after his election, it began April of 1861. His leadership ended slavery with the emancipation proclamation. He won the Civil War by becoming a Police State in which he instituted enormous arrest and detention of thousands of secessionists. He prevented the British recognition of the confederacy. President Lincoln prevented the trade of the south with a Naval Blockade and he skillfully dismantled the secessionist’s movement through skillful strategic management of the war effort.
President Abraham Lincoln personally was deeply involved in the appointment of tall military leadership. His commanding General was Ulysses S. Grant. He politically persuaded all sides the Democrats and Republican to support his policies, but the secession from the United States began with the secession of South Carolina. Even though the President is known for his anti slavery rhetoric, but he is also judged for his attempts to avoid the Civil War through compromise. He attempted to leave slavery along in States where it already existed in an effort to bring about compromise and avoid the Civil War.
Even though slavery is a poison that affected the reputation and all institutions with in the United States, its Mother was racism. It could not have occurred with out the power elite and American public being brain washed with the belief of racism. The belief that Africans Americans, Blacks, or Negroes were in inferior to Caucasians or slavery justified their unjust treatment. Ending slavery only ended one of the most inhumane treatments of fellow human beings, but it did not end racism and even worse it made slaves homeless because it didn't give them any real estate listings or real estate and African Americans are still treated unfairly through redlining and housing discrimination today. The United States even under the first African American President has not attempted to install in programs that would end racism and discrimination even though he admits to the wealth gap that exist between the majority race and minorities. The first African American President refused to even address the slavery of young 12 year children in the Congo and other parts of Africa which is the common status quo of American Presidents.
What makes President Lincoln among the great president is not his intention but his action. He made a decision to end slavery through the Emancipation Proclamation and his promotion of the Thirteenth Amendment of The United States Constitution that abolished slavery. The decision about slavery was the single most important decision in the History of the United States among the power elite. It is obvious that the decisions during that time were being made by the power elite because if you look at 3,243,409 total votes in Presidents Lincoln total votes and compare it with the total population of the US Census of 31,443,321 you can see the disparity. The turn out was 82.2%. I still think that he believed that African Americans were inferior and probably every President and possible up to the present President have the same beliefs given his boy statement and mongrels about Blacks and African Americans.
There will be no justice until the African American receive justice for their inhumane treatment by the 13 Colonies and the USA. Even though Abraham Lincoln's promise of 40 acres and a mule fell far short of repayment for the magnitude of rape and murder of our ancestors but it was far better than none thing that every President since has promised.
